Oakey is one in a million. Great riding horse, very much bombproof. Children can ride him with saddle or bareback. Horses with his personality come once in lifetime. Oakey is an exceptional type, a true red roan and a kind, cool, calm customer. Oakey had some cutting training early on working both the bag and cattle showing plenty of promise but due to Covid-19 restrictions he has not reached his full potential. He has since been used extensively for trail riding, riding lessons and mustering cattle and is comfortable with dogs, bikes and vehicles. He will load on any truck or trailer, You can chase a cow, cross a creek, jump a log, open and close a gate, throw a rope off him, crack a whip and do just about whatever you want on this guy. He has been used successfully in an NDIS program, ridden by teenagers. He has a beautiful soft lopey canter, a well-established sliding stop, travels with his head out and low and will naturally walk, trot and canter on a loose rein. Oakey has never humped from his first ride (even after a spell). Oakey is a no fuss gelding. A young horse with such a soft, kind disposition is exceptionally hard to find.
