Country Hills Dirk is a stout-built registered Friesian Sport Horse gelding standing around 16.2hh; he is four years old and has a beautiful JET BLACK color. Dirk has completed the natural horsemanship training and does liberty work, and he also knows some tricks, he will bow, lay down and set on his rump. Every family member has ridden Dirk from 4 years old to an adult. He is a gentle, laid-back horse that does what you ask. He has ridden down the highways and is very traffic-safe. Dirk has been used around a feedlot where he has sorted and penned cattle. He is great on trails and will cross creeks, ditches, and logs and navigate rough, rocky areas. He has a smooth jog, a very nice, easy-to-set lope, a good stop, turns a circle both ways, and backs easily! He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, such as deer or turkey, or other animals like cows or dogs, and will go anywhere he is asked to. He has ridden many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and all rough terrain while still being sure-footed. Dirk is not cinchy, cold backed, does not crib or weave.
