Hendra Information Updates

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has recently updated some of its Hendra Virus information.

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Hendra virus information for horse owners fact sheet has recently been updated. The fact sheet contains facts about the virus, how to reduce the risks to humans and horses. The fact sheet can be found on the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry website at: http://www.daff.qld.gov.au/4790_20718.htm The table of clinical signs reported to have been displayed by horses infected with Hendra virus has also been updated to include the most recent cases and signs reported in the New South Wales cases. The list of clinical signs is a historical record and it is important to remember that horses infected with Hendra virus can show a wide range of signs.
