Exciting Jumping At SSJC End Of Year Championships
The Sydney Showjumping Club is gearing up for their biggest event of the year on 1st & 2nd December, the End of Year Championships.
Event Director Karinda Alpert is excited about the two days of showjumping. "We have an excellent program and close to 300 competitors from all over Australia have entered. The grounds are in superb conditions and we will approximately 1300 rounds run over the four rings to cater for horses and riders of all levels" Karinda explained. Course Designers for the Championships will be Mark Atkins, Sue Bettington, Juho Looveer and Robert Howarth, with judges being Graham Davey, Katrina Dukats, Michael Archer and Joyce Brooks. There will be catering and refreshments on both days and spectators are welcomed and entry to the grounds is free. Events over the weekend have been allocated generous prizemoney thanks to the following sponsors: David & Janelle Miles, Winnings Appliances, Copabella Stud, Sydney Equestrian Supplies, Fernhill Estate -the Tripp Family, Evans Park, Edwena Mitchell Catering, Tuza Floats, Globalentries, Furdography. One of the feature events of the Championships will be the Bob Brook Memorial Award which is awarded in memory of Bob Brook one of the founding members of SSJC who died sadly in 2011.
