Bold and Beautiful

Don Levi (Brian) is a beautiful young horse who was allowed to grow and mature before being slowly and correctly broken in. He has a lovely soft mouth and has established basic walk, trot and canter. He has also done work with ground poles however he hasn’t been tried over jumps (has cleanly jumped out of his paddock twice as a 3yo though). Brian unfortunately hasn’t had the most consistent start to his performance career though, with his rider suffering from three different injuries (non horse related) before being sent to a trainer to continue with his education while I couldn’t however she fell pregnant after 4 months and was unable to ride as well. This has meant his education has been inconsistent however he has always picked up right where he left off and we have never had to start from scratch. He has never shown any signs of nasty habits other than the odd pig root or love bite when you’re scratching all the good spots. He is very unfazed and calm within himself, being around tractors, quad bikes, dogs, kangaroos, kids and plenty more. He has also been on plenty of trail rides and initially started his education by long-reining on trails to get as much exposure as possible. Unfortunately, every time we enter him for his first event or clinic, injuries and personal circumstances have prevented him from beginning his career. This is through absolutely no fault of his own and everyone who has met him or worked with him have nothing but good words. He has never needed vet attention and holds his weight a little too well. He can be a little cheeky in the tack room, playing with anything he can get a hold of (brooms, buckets, saddle pads, anything within his reach will become a toy). He is absolutely full of personality and talent and will excel in any discipline. He has clean, straight legs and would stand out in any show ring or dressage arena and is also bold enough to go out cross country. He hasn’t been in work for the past 8 months so is unable to be ridden when viewed however I am happy to lunge him and willing to let him go out on trial for a couple weeks to an approved home only as I know these are tricky circumstances. This is an incredibly hard sale which is why I’ve left it for so long but he honestly gives you his all and takes everything in his stride. He will make his new rider very happy and will excel in any discipline. And while he is so calm and easy going, he is still very green and needs a capable rider who can bring him back into work and continue on with his education to get the best out of him.
