Gentle, responsive registered Percheron Warmblood Gelding

Exceptional gentle, safe, competitive eventing or dressage mount or allrounder Loki is a 16.3hh rising 12-year-old registered Percheron Warmblood gelding who provides the entire package of breeding, temperament, looks, compliance, registration, ability and age. Temperament - Loki has a sensational temperament – the soft, gentle and kind Percheron temperament, no dirt or vices, is very compliant, quiet, and responds to gentle handling. He loves to learn and obliges with anything asked of him. He is a smooch and loves attention. He is all business once haltered or saddled awaiting inputs. Handling - Loki is super smart, willing to please and is quick to learn. He is easy to catch, no need to tie up to saddle or trim feet (he will lift them for you). Loki is respectful of space, has demonstrated no separation anxiety, and is a fantastic floater. He has excellent manners and a soft mouth. Simply saddle up and ride after long spells with no lunging required. Movement – Loki has great movement, carriage and athleticism and is a real head turner with his flashy looks. He has a lovely floating trot, moves off the leg impeccably well, and is very responsive to vocal cues. Refer to YouTube video footage. Abilities - Loki has been experienced in a range of areas over his life. He has done some jumping (before we owned him and I do not know any detail of level), has done 4 months of recent dressage training (as a polish up on previous training), been used as natural horsemanship demonstration horse, done some endurance riding and mostly with us he has been trail riding. Loki is registered as a Percheron Warmblood with the Percheron Horse Breeders Association. Update: Loki was assessed for his jumping ability and potential 22/10/20 at our request with one of the Eventing Qld Elite Squad Team who is also an EA riding instructor. Loki arrived at her premises after floating up the M1 in an open float and peak hour traffic, was saddled up on a new premises and started jumping within 10 minutes. He was in a completely new environment with a new person after a very intense trip in traffic. He was calm, comfortable and very obliging. We took video and photos of this – sorry we are not professional photographers, and some had to be ‘zoomed’ from a distance which makes things a little grainy. Loki has not jumped in his 4 years with us and we don’t know how long before that, and performed incredibly well. The height we jumped to during his assessment was 70cm and he had no problems with that. The instructor also assessed his dressage level and competence. We will be making available the independently written assessment by this very experienced and competent horse professional once we receive it (hopefully later today 22/10/20). Her comments to us today were all positive with no concerns. She commented how unflappable he was, his willingness to oblige, his lovely temperament and confirmed his jumping ability. Health - Teeth regularly floated and in good condition, feet in good condition, no known health issues, old cosmetic scars on inside of front near leg. Excellent conformation - very well set, strong straight legs Education - Loki has been professionally educated, done Ian Leighton clinics and just recently undergone 4 months of dressage re-training. He is suited as a safe, competitive dressage mount or can be used as an allrounder. He really is the exceptional package of breeding, temperament, looks, compliance, registration, ability and age which is hard to come by.
