Kinmont othello Otis is a 13yo 14.2hh riding pony (boy soprano) x Australian stock horse. Registered RPSB Section C and Australian Stock Horse first cross. He is a forward a moving and responsive ride with very comfortable and expressive paces. In the paddock he's affectionate and goofy, and ready to be your next friend. With us a few years ago Otis has done plenty of Ag shows, as well as miles and miles of road/trail riding, even played around with showjumping from time to time, and loved to swim with us in the dam! He has had an extensive show career between several riders from local to very busy agricultural shows. Otis has a lovely understanding of the seat, leg, and hands. He has now come back into work after a lengthy spell, and is ready for his next adventure. Otis would make a BRILLIANT pony dressage mount for an educated and balanced rider, or even just a fun allrounder for someone who doesn't want the hassle of a large horse. He has been well exposed to traffic and trains, and would easily complete long distance rides so he would make a brilliant nav ride horse too. Otis requires a capable and independent rider as he is well educated and enjoys clear direction from his rider. He would not suit someone who is a novice, very nervous, or as a first larger pony.

*AD has been updated with info from previous owner* *Started under saddle by Scott Pickering, who focused on Team Penning, has been on a mechanical cow. Did 5 days of Bison work at Don Steers property.* -Ridden videos will be available on the 23/11/24. Stunning 8 year old Stock x TB 15.2hh chestnut gelding in excellent condition. Suited for intermediate and experienced riders/owners. No beginner or novice riders/owners. Barefoot for the past 2 years.I use scoot boots when trail riding on rough terrain. Excellent for the farrier, loves being groomed, and pampered, easy to catch, comes when called (especially at dinner time). Loves being hosed down, great to bath and rug. Lines himself up to whatever you choose to mount from (mounting block, fence post, tractor, float, etc). Teeth are up to date, due next year. Feet are done every 5-6weeks. Good to float, best suited to an angle. Does scramble in straight load. Can be ridden bareback and bitless. Has done extensive trail riding, including beach riding, fire trails, bush tracks, along roads, and train tracks. Has been ridden to the local pubs and happily stands tied up outside whilst you have a feed. Can pony other horses from him, carries saddle bags, catches runaway horses easily. Has been ridden in large groups of up to 20 horses, he's very much a lead horse in groups. Does have some quirks, message for more info. Excellent when ridden by himself on trails, happy to plod along, but he's more than happy to pick up the pace. Can navigate through rocky terrain quite easily and carefully. Has been exposed and ridden near farm equipment and machinery: Tractors, llamas being sheared, quads, motorbikes, guns, cows, dogs, llamas and goats. 3 lovely paces, excellent stop and back up, and responds incredibly well to leg aids. Has jumped over small poles, both in the arena and on trails, nothing too big. Would suit any Western sport, he is quick on his feet with amazing turns. He has the focus and the drive to be an excellent western horse, just needs the right trainer and rider. He's a horse that needs a job do to, he's not suited to sitting in the paddock and being used for only trail rides which is what I currently can only do. This is an incredibly hard sale, due to studying full time and work I unfortunately don't have the time to give him what he needs. Loki is a very much loved member of our family, he has taught me to ride and to have confidence. He truly deserves a forever family that will give him what he needs. No time wasters. Price is very negotiable home is not. Located Quorrobolong NSW Vet checks are welcome ✅️
